![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() She got into volleyball at the age of 12 and, playing in a number of different on-court positions, shone at both high-school and college level, reaching the 2006 NCAA Championship title with the University of Nebraska. Young Jordan gave many sports a try when she was growing up, but it was volleyball that paved the way from her small hometown in Nebraska to international glory as an Olympic and world champion. The Governor, as the 35-year-old captain of the US women’s national team was nicknamed in her native state of Nebraska back when she successfully competed at the college level, is now serving as a member of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission while continuing to show her versatile skills and outstanding leadership abilities on the volleyball court as well. The Olympic gold medal and the Most Valuable Player award at Tokyo 2020 this summer were just the cherry on top of Jordan Quinn Larson’s fabulous volleyball career.
